Inaugural Poetry Open Reading - Submissions Welcome!
Poetry manuscripts now under consideration for our first fine-edition publications.
We’re delighted to share that Ink & Ribbon Press is now officially open for submissions.
This marks the beginning of our first open reading period and the true start of the work we set out to do: discovering poets whose work is attentive, brave, and made with care.

We’re looking for manuscripts that feel necessary. Poems that hold tension. Language that knows why it exists on the page.
Ink & Ribbon Press publishes poetry as art. We produce small-run, finely crafted books designed to last, and we read submissions with that same sense of intention.
Submission guidelines
Submit a full manuscript (60–100 pages) or a selection of 15–25 poems (20–40 pages)
Include a short bio or artist statement (250 words max)
Simultaneous submissions are welcome; please withdraw accepted work
A $15 reading fee supports our nonprofit mission and helps fund editorial and printing costs. Additional tips are always appreciated and can be added as tips or you can donate directly to our nonprofit here. All donations through that link are tax deductible in the US as we are a 501c3.
Responses are typically sent within 6–10 weeks of the reading period’s close
Accepted poets receive contributor copies and publication credit in our catalog
If your work aligns with a belief in poetry as something made, held, and preserved, we would be honored to read it.
If you’ve been waiting for the right moment to send work into the world, this is your invitation.
We use Subfolio (vs. Submittable due to the egregious fees Submittable charges publishers!)

Thank you for trusting us with your poems. We’re honored to read them.

I tried to submit my poetry manuscript in the form of an MS Word doc. Information on submission page at the very bottom said "uploaded", so something went in. But a red text beside both places for my texts said "incomplete". Failed submitting, so I could not pay. I have a password for my account. Please help, preferably per email. Maria
Just submitted a book-length manuscript! I have a great respect for this project and am excited to be a part of it, if only to populate the cutting-room floor.
